We had an absolutely wonderful stay...the house is comfortable, unique, a treasure. The outdoor space is fantastic, with lots of shade and a refreshing pool. The village has a wonderful bar/restaurant, good for breakfast, dinner and live music. The location is well placed for exploring the Costa Brava, and Alex is a very helpful host!

We had an amazing experience at Alex's house. He was a great host and my grandmother really enjoyed celebrating her 95th birthday there as a family. This villa is amazing and really beautiful. Stone and wood, Beautiful Antigua: we loved the feel and look of the space. Definitely walk around the neighborhood, it's amazing, it's incredible. Very nice house situated in a very quiet village. The house is very nice, with nice rooms and beautiful spaces. We were 16 plus a baby , everything went very well : the children loved the playroom , the adults the intermediate level and the garden . As for the baby, we kept a close eye on him because the house has quite a few steps for a small headboard;-) Alex is an attentive and available host, I recommend him!

Very nice house with lots of charm. Numerous living corners (billiards, table tennis, swing, swimming pool, reading area...) Bucolic setting. There were 16 of us. Very good for sleeping independently of the rooms. One bedroom for children. The dining table is a bit too small for 16. A great stay!

Alex's house is very nice, comfortable, well decorated and warm. We spent the weekend with the family and we all had a great time. The bedding is of good quality, the garden is nice even in November and the village very quiet. I agree with the comments about the bell tower, you need to bring earplugs if you are sensitive because it rings every hour. Here we had read the reviews, so we were equipped and everything went well. The house was well air-conditioned, the ground floor for children was perfect with the TV room and games room. The bedrooms are big, nice, common areas too, very nice even for 10! There are quite a few stairs and steps as the house is on 3 levels, but there are safety gates for stairs, handrails etc. The house is less than 15 minutes from Figueras and shops. Nothing in the village except a small bar/restaurant which we discovered (but didn't try) the day before departure. Beautiful place to rest, the charm of the old stones, etc ...

We really enjoyed the house and the village which allowed us to discover the heart of Catalonia. The garden is a real little paradise, with its bird concert every evening. The children were delighted with everything that was provided for them. The bedding is excellent and the fans in each room very useful. We left with many good memories.

Amazing location in the middle of a small quiet and charming village. Close to wonderful places to visit and very nice restaurants, the restaurant TARTANA was an amazing experience). the beaches were only an hour away. The host very friendly and the house amazing for a large group. For the heat this house is just perfect. Thank you Alex!!!

We spent a great weekend with friends at Alex's house. The house is simply sublime, full of charm and character with a beautiful vegetable garden and its pool very appreciable to cool off in a small remote village on the Costa Brava equally charming that allows you to enjoy Cadaqués and Roses during the day. Highly recommend this accommodation

The house is beautiful and quiet, a farmhouse in the middle of an old town. It has many spaces, wide and very well equipped (ping pong, billiards, games room, large dining room, garden ...). The farmhouse is beautiful and has a lot of charm, we have been a large group and we have enjoyed the different spaces and entertainment that the house offers (billiard room, table tennis, terrace and pool). The house has wifi and areas to relax. Despite of having many stairs, the spaces are very wide and it is perfectly equipped to accommodate large groups. The village is very quiet and the neighbors very friendly. As for Alex and Rebecca they have been very kind and attentive to any questions we may have. Our stay was short and we are looking forward to going back!

Farmhouse to feel like beeing on a movie. Beeing a house in the middle of a town, we were very surprised by the courtyard with barbecue area, pool, ping pong, garden with grass area to stretch. Inside it is also full of special spots for the whole family, the younger children will fall in love with the toy room and the older ones will play billiards. A fairy tale setting, we lived a family dream.

Excellent home! All as explained and much better than the pictures! One of the best airbnb of our trip through Catalonia! The town is like an old movie set, the only restaurant in town is phenomenal and Manel (the owner) looks after you wonderfully, don't forget to try the sausage coocked into the wood owen and the pizzas ... the pool although small is a delight, and the incredible playground to enjoy with your family! We felt very well in the House, the truth is that it is very beautiful, and the hosts are very nice. The House is a charm. Alex and Rebecca were very quick in the response, since on arrival we had some problem in finding the cribs, as well as the garden that was not in excelent condition. We have fallen in love with the house!! What a little spot of peace you have... It has a "spiritual" load that makes you connect, and the soundtrack of the birds is priceless! You can tell the love and care in the small details, such as the drawing that you have in the bunk beds room, which my eldest son loved! We've filled the backpack with new life memories!

What an incredible weekend we spent with my family! The house is incredibly awesome, super clean and with all the facilities you can imagine. It has an amazing cozy garden in which we enjoyed a delicious barbecue. Alex was super attentive and quick with the communication and Rosa welcomed us in a very friendly way. The house is wonderful, very beautiful and with a garden that is a pleasure when the sun shines. Everything was great and the pool table and the table tennis a bonus that we appreciated. It is in the middle of the village but if you just walk a little you are out in the middle of the countryside. Ideal for families as it has a large common bedroom with 6 single beds and a playroom for children. Highly recommended.

We have spent there a couple of days. The house is spectacular, very complete, tastefully decorated and located in a quiet village. Ideal to go with children and enjoy the playroom and take a walk around the village.

We have been very happy in your house. It is very beautiful and welcoming.
The weather wasn’t so great during our stay as it rained for 2 or 3 days, but luckily it didn’t affect our routine too much. In fact it meant that the heat we arrived with diminshed somewhat and so the temperature has been ideal, we even put on long-sleeved tops in the evening (which in August is priceless!).
The colony of sparrows you have in the garden is an asset you must look after. I imagine that you know that the sparrow population is in decline in Europe. Finding a place with so many was a surprise and indictes that Vilanant is a place where nature is thriving. We even managed to rescue some young fledglings and return them to their nests!
The small beaches in Culera and Llançà have been a wonderful discovery for us. Who would have thought that we would find such idillic places in the Costa Brava in the middle of August!

We had a lovely time here. La Capsa de LLum was perfect for all our needs (a family of 15 with babies, children and grandparents) Alex and Rebecca have a luxurious house and you can tell they love it and have spent a great deal of time making it just how they think it should be so that people will feel comfortable here. All the spaces are well looked-after, the playroom for the children is great, the kitchen very nice and comfortable for eating and having breakfast with the family. In terms of equipment we have found everything we needed. Plenty of plates, cutlery and glasses. All the necessary kitchen gadgets, a big fridge, dishwasher. And the beds comfortable and well decorated. In short, the house has been ideal for spending a weekend with the family!
